Description: This incredibly scarce New York note that shares a date with the Continental Fugio notes was issued by the Committee of Correspondence of the City and County of Albany. It is a personal promissory note that was redeemable for Continental Currency. This note features a typeset design with “Albany County” and a crown at the top with a blank reverse. Incredibly rare issue with this $5/8 being the highest denomination of the issue. Only 3 are known to survive today.
