I thought the most interesting chapters, though, were: Chapter 9 "Trade Protection" describing the escort carriers (including the American lend-lease transfers); Chapter 11 "Emergency Fleet Carriers" describing the development of the "Majestic" and "Colossus" class ships; Chapter 12 "The Last Carriers" describing the 1942 "Ark Royal / Audacious" and "Hermes" classes; and Chapter 14 "The Big Carrier: HMS Malta."
