BRM equipped TDI will have the letter 'T' in the fifth digit of the VIN. While valve cover can be installed as is, it is recommended that the gasket be replaced. The gasket has a tendency to become stiff as it ages, resulting in oil leaks. OEM gasket part number is 03G 103 483 D. Item could use a cleaning, but is otherwise perfectly serviceable.
