Description: Old, vintage, antique Grove Tool Works carpenter's half hatchet / hammer tool. The hammer protrusion is octagonal shaped but is chamfered to have a round face. The bottom of the blade has a nail pulling notch. The overall length of the head is 5-13/16 in. and the width of the blade is 2-7/8 in. One side of the blade is marked "GROVE TOOL WORKS". The hatchet is old and used. It shows a lot of wear, scratches, scuffs, dings, patina and a few smudges of old paint. The cutting edge is dull and has 1 tiny nick near the top of the blade.
