Description: >Offered here is an old and original 1999 OMAHA GOLDEN SPIKES minor league baseball pennant!! Please see all four photos and read the history below as they are an important part of my description. This rare full-sized vintage baseball pennant for the Omaha Golden Spikes measures approximately 30" x 12", and features flexible white felt with silk-screened red, blue and glittery-gold graphics and lettering, along with a blue strip of felt along the left edge. This vintage baseball pennant was produced by WinCraft Sports; they have a large logo near the pennant's tip, and Wincraft is also mentioned in the red area in the lower/left corner (it's faint, but readable; also says "1999" here as well!). There's a "Professional Baseball" logo present in the upper/left corner of the pennant. Also mentioned on the pennant is Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium, where the Golden Spikes played their games. <>History: the 1999 Omaha Golden Spikes were members of the Pacific Coast League (PCL/ Triple-A), playing in Omaha, Nebraska at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium. The team was an affiliate for the Kansas City Royals. This Golden Spikes team finished up with a stellar 81-60 record, first in the Midwest Division. The manager was Ron Johnson. Future Major League Baseball player Jeremy Giambi played for Omaha in 1999, as did many other players who were later promoted such as Joe Vitiello. Leading hitter for the Golden Spikes was Kit Pellow, who slugged 35 home runs and had 99 RBI. <>Condition: the pennant is in very *Fine Shape* overall, showing a bare minimum of age/handling faults...nice!!! I see no tack holes from prior display! The pennant's tip is solid! The pennant's colors remain vibrant! The pennant presents as "crisp & clean"!!
