Description: Beautiful unsigned and anonymous watercolor of an interior courtyard in France, mid to late 19th century by an excellent hand. Wonderful, slightly muted colors and architectural details. In the right light, you can still easily observe how the artist originally sketched the scene using a graphite pencil first and later completed the color. Definitely a beautiful landscape scene. Probably removed from a booked earlier (acquired as part of a larger set of loose works on paper.) Condition: Generally good. Some spotting, possibly due to storage at one point. Has been stabilized. Will shipped wrapped in archival glassine. Measures 7 x 12. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
