Description: Original early WWII McCord fixed bale M1 helmet, heat lot "42 A 2" denoting a 1941 or very early 1942 manufacture. On the front of the helmet, a USN Lieutenant insignia has been carved in the paint down to the bare metal. The metal is heavily oxidized there, showing good age so I believe the marking to be 100% original. No returns accepted. Payment due immediately upon purchase.
