Description: This auction is for a Original WWI Hungarian 1914-1918 Pro Patria Commemorative Medal Nice original WWI medal with original ribbon. This Medal was instituted by Miklos Horthy to recognize the Hungarians who had rendered service during World War I in combat and non-combat roles on the front-lines and the home front. The Silver Medal (for combat) is worn on a ribbon with white and red exterior stripes and alternating horizontal white and green stripes in the centre, the obverse features a helmet, and the reverse features crossed swords behind the shield.
