Description: This GORGEOUS cotton 1920's / 1930's pieced stars quilt is hand pieced and hand and machine quilted (the border only), with a vibrant orange background to each of the background blocks. Each star contains 128 diamond pieces measuring 1" per side or less. Maude Johnson of Galion, Ohio (moved from Tennessee) made the quilt.It measures 72" X 82" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. There are straight line and grid designs quilted throughout at 7 stitches to the inch. The back and machine stitched binding are the same cheery vintage print, and the batting is thin.
