Subordinates to the 4th Special Intelligence Service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Regiment headquarters - Kropyvnytskyi. It is part of the Joint Rapid Reaction Force. The regiment was formed on June 3, 1998 on the basis of the 10th separate special-purpose brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as the 1st separate special-purpose regiment, from September 7, 2000 it became the 3rd regiment. In 2018, the regiment was named after the Prince of Kyiv Svyatoslav Igorevich the Brave. |rom August 22, 2018, by decree of the President of Ukraine No. 232/2018, the regiment bears the honorary name "named after Prince Svyatoslav the Brave". On February 24, 2022, the regiment participated in repulsing the Russian airborne operation to seize the airport in Gostomel. By decree of the President of Ukraine dated July 29, 2022, the center was awarded the honorary award "For Courage".There is a hard Velcro on the back of patches (chevrons). This will help to fix the chevron on a military uniform, other clothes, a backpack, a baseball cap and other tactical products, where there is a place for such an accessory (soft Velcro).
