Description: I have for sale an 1892 pin back presidential campaign ribbon for President Benjamin Harrison who was campaigning for his second term. In 1888 Harrison defeated Grover Cleveland to become our 23rd president but in this 1892 election, he lost to Cleveland. Whitelaw Reid was Harrison's V.P. candidate. The top pin back bar is three inches wide, the ribbon is 2 3/8 inches wide and the complete length is 9 inches. The ribbon condition is slightly circulated. On the reverse the makers card is attached, Whitehead & Hoag. The top metal pinback shows a picture of Harrison in the center with the names HARRISON - REID to the sides. The top part of the ribbon shows crossed flags with a silver star above and a silver eagle below. In the center there are gold colored tassels. The bottom half of the ribbon reads EAST END REPUBLICAN CLUB and then more tassels at the bottom. Please see over 900 more collectibles for sale in my EBAY STORE at TE Collectables. (19,047 TTRA)
