VIRGINIA METALCRAFTERS SADLY IS NOW OUT OF BUSINESS. CADDY IS A REPRODUCTION OF AN 18TH CENTURY TEA CADDY IN THE WILLIAMSBURG COLLECTION MADE CA 1760. HAND MADE AND HAND FINISHED. CAST BRASS BAIL HANDLE AND ESCUTCHEON MADE AT THE GEDDY FOUNDRY IN COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG. THIS PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. BEAUTIFUL MAHOGANY GRAINING. NO NICKS DENTS CRACKS SPLITS OR MARS TO THE FINISH. HAS ORIGINAL BRASS HINGES, HANDLE, ESCUTCHEON, WORKING LOCK BUT NO KEY. INTERIOR SHOWS CONTACT PAPER OVER THE ORIGINAL SILVER FOIL. ILL LEAVE REMOVAL IF DESIRED TO THE NEW OWNER. ORIGINAL FOIL LOOKS INTACT. SIGNED ON THE BOTTOM WITH THE COLONIAL WILLIAMSBURG BRAND. MEASURES 10" LONG 6" HIGH 6" DEEP.
