Description: Widely recognized as sports' first "rally towel," The Terrible Towel made it's debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers on December 27, 1975 in a playoff game versus the Baltimore Colts. The specimen on offer here was waved by fans of the black and gold at the Super Bowl in 1980. The 25.5x14.5" gold towel features both team helmets with "Super Bowl XIV" printed in black. Towel made by Cannon which also produced many Original Terrible Towel's. Excellent condition with very little wear.
