Description: Up for your consideration is a plaster death mask from the 1830’s. This was picked up by my Grandfather somewhere in his many travels. He was a British Military Officer during World War II and later a Diplomat. This mask is from France. It is amazing condition for its age. It has been displayed in my fishing cottage for many years. Always a conversation piece. It is very heavy for its size. This is a rare, handmade French plaster death mask from the 1830s. The medium-sized mask features a 3D effect and an antique finish. It portrays an unknown male figure and is part of a wax curiosity collection. The item is an original pre-Victorian artifact, with a brown color and a weight of 12 lb. It is a unique and eerie piece suitable for all occasions. From my personal collection. Selling to downsize a bit. New items listed every week. Please see and save my eBay store. Many repeat customers. You never know what will be for sale.
