Description: EST. heritagestuff2001 RARE ANTIQUE WOOD DOUGH BOARDDECO KITCHEN WARE FARM - COTTAGE I've had displayed for decades, downsizing and time to let someone else love this piece. cir dated 1840, 100% original, hand painted. A tradition gift that was made specifically for someone and given on a special occasion - wedding, etc. The name of the person, what occasion and date are usually what is painted on the board. I can't make this one out, but perhaps a wedding in May 1840?, not at all sure, as the paint is no longer sharp. Top to bottom 31 1/2", side to side 24 3/4" and 3/4" thick (flat board), No two were ever the same. After mixing and rolling the dough on the unpainted side, it was hung back on the wall with the painted side facing outward. PLEASE see ALL pictures MAGNIFIED for exact condition as there is discoloration, cracks, wear, etc. Only to be used for decoration today!
