Condition is "Acceptable". Cover wear and soil. Spine is taped (see photos). Endpaper hinges cracked, and back hinge binding is broken, endpaper torn, and taped. Crack to webbing between two pages near the back of the book. Pencil name and date on blank flyleaf. Flyleaves and last page very dark with age. Moderate page soil and stains. Rust and indents from an old paperclip. A few creases from folded page corners. A few very small page tears and chips. Appears unmarked other the name and date on flyleaf."The book is full of quaint, old-fashioned pictures that speak to the eye, and plain truth-telling parables that speak to the heart. It is a book for the young and a book for the old. Whoever reads it must be very bad if it does not make him better. It teaches the timid to be brave, the complaining to rejoice, and the feeble to be strong. It is full of kind words for the poor, wise counsels for the rich, plain warning for the tempted, and gook hopes for the afflicted. Whoever takes this scrip and staff along with him in the journey of life will find it good company on the way and it will give him much help in getting safe through."
