Description: I’ve acid cleaned and dried this brick to get it ready for display. These are very hard to find in good legible condition. They all have reversed SS in MISS. Really a poor quality brick and somewhat hard to find. THIS EXAMPLE HAS THE “Q” only. I could only speculate the reasons why. They are very scarce and didn’t realize I had another. I sold what I thought was the only one , about 8 years ago. Most have “P & Q” for Pugh & Quekemeyer. They ran out of local clay and went out of business. Circa 1890s.
