RARE BUNDLES AUTHENTIC 1800s BARN FRESH ANTIQUE EARLY LIGHTING DRIED RUSH AAFA

Description: This is a wonderful primitive collection of 10 dried antique RUSH BUNDLES fresh from the barn of an early 1800's Ohio farm estate we purchased awhile back. The old farmers there saved everything throughout the many years their family owned the homestead and this had many uses. You get the 10 BUNDLES you see in the pics in this sale lot. Each one is different and the largest ones are about 5-6 inches long and the smallest is about 3 inches. This is the OLDE EARLY ORIGINAL stuff from back in the day...not the newly dried imported perfect fancy twisty stuff...this is old and dusty and dried and very primitive and is exactly what they used back in the 1700's - 1800's if they couldn't afford beeswax or tallow candles. This was used in a rush light or clip lantern and most of the time it was dipped in grease or some other burnable substance to make it last longer when burning. This makes a wonderful display to go with your early lighting pieces or it's still totally burnable if you need some for a museum display or reenactment event. It's fabulous in person and the dried primitive patina is the best ever from many years of age and the elements with no bug damage. Again it's part of true American history and not an import like some of the stuff you see out there these days. Please see the pics for more information.
