Description: Up for bid is a very collectible signed copy of the artist monograph entitled ELLSWORTH KELLY. Published in 1971 by Harry N. Abrams Inc. (NYC) as part of their well known Abrams Artbooks series. This massive (weighs 6 lbs) 1st edition hardcover with dust jacket book is 299 pages, measures 11" x 12" x 1.75", and features a lengthy essay by art critic John Coplans, 225 large illustrations including 68 in full color that are tipped in or fold out. The book is signed by Ellsworth Kelly in black ink on the second inside page as shown, and guaranteed to be authentic. Overall the book is in good/acceptable used condition; The dust jacket shows minor wear and soiling to the front and back, a chipped corner to the front upper left corner, and a faded spine as shown. All color plates are in excellent vintage condition. The back cloth cover shows evidence of early/old moisture damage which traversed through half of the back inside pages, creating a small triangular rippled pattern at the bottom binding corner as shown. The inside front board is rubber stamped by the previous owner, with a small area of moisture staining as shown. Please note, based on the condition, my asking price for this rare signed book is very fair. Item will be packed very well and ships via USPS to all domestic locations. All foreign locations ship via ebay international standard delivery.
