Description: Hi! Please read this carefully and in its entirety! First things first. I DO NOT discount any of my Buy It Now listings. Ever. At least, not in the past 22 years I have been on eBay. The reason is simple. ALL my prices are fair. They HAVE to be. This is NOT my hobby. This is how I have earned a living for the past 28 years, including the last 24 years on eBay. That means I have to sell my items in a timely manner. Otherwise, I will hear my wife say something like this: "Hey, Jerry, when are you going to make a deposit at the bank?" If she is really stressed, she might not use my name when she asks the question. She might use another word. A bad one. Fortunately, that has not happened often over the past 26 years. I will say this. Back when this came out nearly 30 years ago, I bought five of these sets. I was an idiot. I actually started to buy 20 more at the time but changed my mind. Hey, I have made several bigger mistakes. One of those mistakes cost me more than $2.5 million--and counting!. That was 35 years ago. Another stupid mistake cost me $750,000. Then there was another goof that cost me $400,000. Another more recent idiotic move--just six years ago-- cost me $300,000--and counting. All of these mistakes have one thing in common: it was not what I bought. It was what I didn't! I wish I could say I have learned my lesson. We'll see. The point is this: when you think the price of something that has strong demand is high, it's REALLY LOW! They talk about supply and demand. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. It isn't supply and demand. It's demand and demand! The good (and rare) stuff--whether it's art, real estate, a public company, etc.--goes higher. Do you think Michael Jordan will be in demand in the future. How about Shaq? Larry Bird? GET THE PICTURE. The so-called financial experts always advise "Buy low and sell high." WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. Wrong nearly 100% of the time. For 36 years, my mantra--now I have not always acted on it!--has been BUY HIGH, SELL HIGHER. What will this factory sealed Topps 1981-1991 Archives "The Rookies" set be worth five years from now? Ten years? Twenty? How should I know? My answer is: higher. I mentioned I have five of these sets. My four children will each inherit one. So this is the only one of these I will sell in my lifetime. (Unless someone wills me more! LOL.) This was a short printed product. Topps did not think there would be much of a market for a "gimmicky" set like this, especially the gold version. They're not right all the time either. But you can be right. I have seen this set listed for more than $1,000. Is that a good price? It is if you want it. MY price is $348.88. Not a penny more. Not a penny less. So please do not ask for a lower price. And I don't keep competing against myself! Factory sealed. Beautiful shape. Shipped quickly and with care. The rules: No discount. 2) Please add $18.85 for insured shipping if you live in the continental U.S. 3) I also ship worldwide through eBay's International Shipping Program. eBay charges you (and me!) a fee for this so check eBay for details. I have shipped to 30 countries and all 50 states in the U.S. 4) I am proud of my feedback on eBay, encompassing more than 7,700 separate transactions since 2000. 5) I specialize in rare but affordable collectibles and memorabilia with the main focus on sports cards, framed and unframed photos, Beanie Babies, Marilyn Monroe items (somebody has to do it!) and Pokemon cards and plush. 6) Payment is due within four days of purchase. If you cannot afford this, please don't buy it. 7) If you have a question, please ask. 8) The most important rule of all--DON'T FORGET RULE NUMBER ONE. Thanks for your interest. But if you are not interested in this, please check my other listings. You might not like those, too. It's still a smart idea to mask up indoors or in crowded outdoor venues. Jerry
