Description: THE GENUINE JOHN ADLER RECORDER C - SOPRANO INSTRUMENT BAKELITE TOP? Here we have a German made John Adler / Johannes Adler. It has its slip case, I believe this is around early to mid 1900s. It appears to be in great used vintage / antique condition. The slip case shows signs of age. I don’t play recorder but to my ear the last few holes only seem to produced a minor change in note. I think the top is Bakelite but unsure, perhaps plastic but from the date I’d suggest it’s Bakelite with metal collar. The recorder splits in to two pieces. This is a beautiful vintage piece.
