Description: RARE VINTAGE PLANTERS MR. PEANUT CHOCOLATE COVERED PEANUTS END LABEL BOX 1920s Offered is this Incredible Vintage Rare empty 1920s Planters box with a paper End label. The box originally held 5 lbs of Chocolate Covered Peanuts. This listing is for the box top only. The old style Mr. peanut appears on the paper end label. Box itself is covered in yellow paper with numerous Mr. peanut figures in various poses. Condition of the box is good for its age with some small losses and with some staining. It has one torn corner and there is one broken piece on the box, but the piece is included (same corner). I know that some collectors prefer to fix it themselves and others like to have them restored, so I have not tried to repair/restore it. Please see images for condition. This listing is for the very rare original box. It is for the box top, as it should be easy to find a bottom for it if desired. I have seen quite a few of this style boxes, but I have never seen another for Chocolate Covered Peanuts. The box has incredible graphics and is in very decent overall shape for being around 100 years old! I have been collecting for nearly 40 years and I have never seen another one of these boxes! These were made to be disposed of and how many could have possibly survived? You may never find another one of these! It shows some wear and marks as to be expected from a 100 +/- year old cardboard box, but still has great graphics and displays great! The box is as shown in the photos.
