Description: This is one of the more pieces from my WW1 collection. You never see these on the market. It is an early war sheepskin trench coat. The coat has sheepskin wool inside. The collar and pockets are made from horizon blue material. The inner pocket has markings. The collar has a button pocket with an internal hood inside made from cloth. All the toggle buttons are there. One section of the back where there is a leather strip is undone. I am not sure if it needs to be resewn or if it was done to help with the equipment. Overall, it is in good condition. You see pictures of French as well as British soldiers wearing these in the winter of 1914-1915 and also 1916.Note: This is a very heavy coat. Postage is higher as it is way over 10 pounds. But worth the shipping costs if you are a serious collector.
