Description: I’ve only begun to sell my babies after my daughter has accumulated 20+. It’s a hobby for me so I still consider myself a beginner to intermediate. I hand root all my babies with mohair unless specified. The skin is hand painted and mottled with blushing/veining/white tipped nails. I continue to improve with each one I make and don’t have room to keep them all. My pricing is basically to cover materials and time spent. Each doll is unique as no two are alike. I do use a lot of consignment items and some brand new just depends on what my inspiration is and if I can find new. Hair still kind of a struggle for me to figure a style. I left it longer in case you wanted to trim it more. I myself had been wanting to make a baby this size with fuller hair. I use genesis heat set paints. The mohair I used was pretty curly, I did use a straightening iron to relax it some. The earrings do shift a bit due to the magnets but you can easily take them off. I tried to do a pacifier but it was unsuccessful with the shape of the mouth. I did use a baby powder scented wafer in the body. Hair is glued down on the inside. Hand painted eyebrows and lashes. A little sealer around eyes, nose, and mouth to moisten them. Not recommended for small children due to the magnetic earrings. Cable ties have been filed smooth. I run my finger over them after I file them. You can wet hair but brush gently. Over time like all dolls with regular brushing some hair may shed. 20” long appx 5lbs Also note hand painted dolls are finicky. They look perfect then you pull them out after heat set and paint sometimes leaks. In this case it looks like an eye shifted slightly. Last photo shows straight on. Still looks better than the dolls of my childhood with an eyelid up and eyelid down 😆😆 If it is really unrealistic I will make note and discount. My strong point in doll making is the mottled skin, everything else I’m still perfecting. Full limb.
