Trebor, the premier high boil sweets manufacturer of the UK, exclusively manufactured all Regal Crown products in the Chesterfield & Maidstone plants in Derbyshire & Kent England. In 1966, Trebor won the Queen’s Award, the most prestigious recognition for British Companies that excel at international trade, innovation & sustainable development. Tootsie Roll Industries became the distributor of Regal Crown Sours throughout the entire United States. In the 1960’s The National Confectioner’s Association ranked Regal Crown Sours the sixth best selling candy in the U.S. in all candy classes, ranked just behind the likes of Milky Way, Almond Joy, Snickers & Baby Ruth. In the 1970’s Broadway Confections teamed up with Trebor to market the Regal Crown brand. Trebor Allen of Canada produced Regal Crown in Granby Quebec.
