This is a REPAIR SERVICE for your instrument cluster (combination meter, gauges, speedometer) for Toyota Prius 2004-2009. If your cluster sometimes stops working (goes dark) or it completely stopped working (stays dark) you can’t easily switch off the ignition, then this service is for you. If the display never goes blank, then this service may not be the solution to your issues, so PLEASE message me first. While the display is blank, your back-up camera may not work, If the glass is broken, either due to rough handling or due to shipping then there will be an extra cost to replace the glass display. If the glass is broken, you will see 3 light gray or white spots in 3 corners of the display. If they are dark gray, and somewhat reflective, then your glass is still intact. There is a photo above of the spots I am describing, and one is good, the other is broken. How it works: 1. You remove your faulty cluster from your car. 2. You pay $49 for my service and send me your faulty cluster at your own expense (usually about $9; please, let me know the tracking number.) 4. Very Important! PLEASE use plenty of bubble-wrap so that it does not get damaged in shipping! 5. THE SAME DAY I receive your faulty cluster, I will fix it and send it back to you by VIA USPS Priority Mail on the SAME or NEXT business day. I test ALL clusters on the bench, so you KNOW it will be working when you receive it. I’ve been an Electronic Technician for 32 years professionally. The cluster comes back to you with a LIFETIME WARRANTY. Do not just buy used cluster and install it, because it will definitely fail in the future, and it will have the wrong odometer reading. It makes sense to buy only repaired clusters with WARRANTY. I can ship you a rebuilt cluster TODAY, with your exact odometer reading already programmed in. PLEASE be very careful when handling the speedometer. The glass display is extremely fragile and is under a high vacuum. Any rough handling can break the seal, allowing air to enter and destroy the display. This cannot be fixed except by replacing the entire glass display. Broken displays are NOT covered under warranty but I can replace them for a fee if returned.
