Description: This box is an early Winchester .44 Flat (Henry) box which dates to the mid 1870's. This box is often referred to as the "Stetson's Patent Box" as it is the first label to show that information - though the October 24th date is incorrect (it was actually Oct. 31st). ***If you prefer this box made for modern centerfire cartridges (.44-40, .45 Colt, etc), please send me a message and specify - otherwise I will send you one made to original dimensions for the .44 Henry Rimfire Cartridge. *** I have included a picture of an original box for comparison. All of the boxes I've recreated all date from the 1860's - 1880's and are what collectors now, for obvious reasons, refer to as "picture boxes." These are not photocopies or printed from pictures I've Googled. These are high resolution, digital recreations and are professionally printed.The reproduction box is, of course empty, with the side wrappers sealed.
