Description: ROLLIN KARG Paperweight Dichronic Art Glass Handblown Spiral Bubbles - Vivid Blue to Aqua Turquoise Color Change w/Lighting Change Unique Tear Drop Irregular Triangular Shaped Paperweight This large heavy paperweight looks like a tornado of bubbles to me. It was crafted by Rollin Karg.....just down the road from here and is signed R. Karg. I believe he is 80 now and no longer blows glass, but the gallery he built is still a thriving business in Kechi, Kansas. There is no date on this piece and it weighs just a fraction under a pound. Irregular in a sort of rounded off triangular teardrop shape, it is a handful of solid glass! The dichronic properties allow the color to change from a vivid royal color of blue to a more turquoise aqua color depending on the lighting. It reminds me of my Viking Bluenique that takes on different colors with lighting. There are no faults. A tiny dibit is noted right on the polished edge below his signature but this was purposeful and made by a tong, or tool. There are no chips, cracks, or even scratches that I note or feel. Shipping: Carefully packaged for a safe delivery and sent via USPS with tracking and insurance.
