Description: Royal Worcester W409 Blue Floral Chintz & Gold Bone China Sardine Box C. 1883 Antique British bone china sardine box with under tray. Decorated in a blue floral chintz pattern with gold gilding along the edge and gold highlights to the lid finial. Marked on the bottom with the Royal Worcester mark in blue with a U date code for 1883. The sardine box has the pattern number in red. Has crazing typical of bone china and a discolored curved crack to the bottom of the box. The box measures approximately 6 inches long x 5 1/4 inches wide x 3 3/8 inches tall to the top of the lid finial. Tray measures approximately 8 inches long x 7 inches wide x 7/8 inches tall. The box measures approximately 4 inches tall including the tray. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
