Description: [Rupert Murdoch - Wapping Print Workers Dispute] “Murdoch’s Millions” £55 Bank of Wapping Handbill Double-sided, a caricature of Neil Kinnock (as the Queen) on the front and Rupert Murdoch (as the Duke of Wellington) on the reverse. The £55 is a reference to the 5,500 print workers who were sacked by Murdoch following the introduction of new technology at News International’s new Wapping print plant (the number was actually nearer to 6,000). An interesting piece of British Workers Union history. Approx. 165x100mm., and in very good condition.
