Regimental holiday: 3rd day of Easter. 06.12.1907 – 13th Dragoon Military Order of Field Marshal Count Minich Regiment The regiment has existed since August 20, 1798, when a two-battalion musketeer regiment was formed in Yaroslavl by Major General Leitner , named after him. The following year it was renamed the Musketeer Regiment of Major General Mansurov. On January 20, 1800, the regiment began to be named after its new chief, Major General Nesvetaev . On March 29, 1801, the regiment was named the Saratov Musketeer Regiment and in 1803 was sent to the Caucasus , to the banks of the Kuban . There, the regiment took part in the Persian campaign and guarded the Caucasian border. On October 19, 1810, the regiment was renamed the 46th Jaeger Regiment , and on February 12, 1816, the 17th Jaeger Regiment. In 1819, the regiment was renamed the 41st Jaeger Regiment and recalled to Russia, but on May 26, 1825, the regiment was returned to its previous numbering. In 1828, the 17th (46th) Jaeger Regiment took part in the war with Turkey . For this campaign, the regiment received badges on its headdresses with the inscription "For Distinction" (April 6, 1830). On January 28, 1833, the regiment was attached to the Bryansk Infantry Regiment and, as part of it, set out on a campaign against the Hungarians in 1849. During the Eastern War of 1853-1855, the regiment took part in the siege of Silistra from May 5 to June 9, 1854, and in April 1855 was sent to Sevastopol , where it was assigned to Malakhov Kurgan .
