Please be aware that other liquid (non-AquaSol) versions of Safe-Guard do not stay suspended in water and will not effectively treat your chickens. AquaSol is an over-the-counter medication with no veterinary prescription required, and is the only effective/approved water-soluble dewormer currently available to treat worms in poultry with no withdrawal period. You will receive 5mL or 10mL of Safe-Guard AquaSol Dewormer in a safety-sealed dropper bottle along with a 1mL syringe dispenser and instructions. *Per Merck, an additional 5 day treatment cycle is recommended 7-10 days after the initial treatment for worms, so double your calculations on how much AquaSol you'll ultimately need. Keep in mind, most flock owners administer preventative treatments for worms either quarterly or semi-annually. Daily dosage is calculated by determining the combined total weight of the birds you are treating. AquaSol is highly concentrated; it should be mixed fresh daily and only add it to the amount of water your birds will drink in a day. AquaSol must be stored in a cool, dark location until use because light degrades the active ingredient. A closed cabinet is a perfect storage area.
