Description: Listing is for 2 pieces (1 cup and 1 saucer) Salisbury English Bone China tea cup and saucer set in the design pattern 1858 rose trim accents, and gold sponge detail. The Salisbury Crown China Co. was founded by Leslie H. Bradley in 1927 where it operated out of the workshop in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England. In around 1949, the company became recognized as Salisbury China Co. According to the backstamp style, this piece is from 1926-1949. The method in which the gold detail was added around the lips of the teacup and saucer often utilized a lot more product than painting a thin line by brushstroke, thus making this style more costly to produce. The lips and handle are accented with gold which is all in excellent condition. It can hold up to 6 fluid oz when filled to the lip.
