Description: Framed caricature of "Colin Chapman" by Sallon of the "Daily Mirror" The text in the picture reads as follows:- COLIN CHAPMAN and Lotus together make up one of motor racing's success stories. From an Austin 7 engined "special" (called "Lotus") has developed a notable sports-car - the beautifully streamlined "Mark Eleven" which finished 7th in general classification at Le Mans this year. Private owners and the designer himself have scored many resounding successes and British motor racing prestige owes much to Chapman's design and driving ability.
