Description: Offered is an original World War Two production United States Military Issued sling manufactured for use with the M1 Garand infantry rifle. This olive drab sling is an M1942 sling and is has a correct flat buckle and, quite desirably, is both manufacturer marked (S.M. Co. for Schlegel Manufacturing) and dated. The ink stamp is smudged beyond recognition for the date (not uncommon for Schlegel slings and for the passage of time with use). I have owned enough of these to know without a shadow of a doubt that it is an S.M. Co. It shows very little wear and only minor staining. It has no rips, tears, or repairs. Original World War Two M1 Garand slings have become very difficult to come by, and the original marked slings like this one are that much more scarce. Repros and fakes dominate the market, and this one is 100% original. Overall, a very scare and desirable sling for your World War Two Garand or 03A3 that I priced below where it would be if the markings were clear.
