Description: 15 Seminole Pumpkin seeds (3.95). We have been growing this variety for 4 years (Florida). The vines are vigorous and produce many 3 to 4 pound pumpkins. If kept in a dry environment we have had these pumpkins last over a year and they grow sweeter with storage. They taste fantastic! I cut them in half, put them face down on a baking sheet, poke holes with a fork in the top for venting, and cook at 350 for about 45 minutes. Shipping will be in a plastic sleeve within a standard-sized envelope. Shipping is free. Ship only within the U.S. Our pumpkins are grown without fertilizers or pesticides (this variety needs neither). Although not certified organic they are raised as such. As the plant spreads it drops roots and this allows it to ' outrun' squash borers' and other pests. In regards to the soil, it produces in pretty much any kind of soil. When a part of the plant is on sand it produces less, but still puts out pumpkins. The spread onto loam or quality soil produces more. These pumpkins have very thick/hard skin. Very few pests can penetrate. You can also enrich the soil near a dead tree or fence and train the vine upwards (will produce fewer pumpkins but take up less space).
