Description: Shimano Spirex 1000RE. For sale is a Shimano Spirex 1000RE. It is in excellent gently used condition. It was very well taken care of. It turns very smooth and has a strong drag, as it should! Some minor scuffs and marks and the paint on the spool is wearing off on areas. This was a find as part of a large collection. It’s been in storage for years and not used so it can probably use some oil/grease/cleaning/etc. one of the caps on one of the knobs is missing but it does not affect anything, I just wanted to be honest. Please see pictures. This reel has been out of production for a long time! It has features that aren’t common on today’s reels like a Rear drag with Fightin’ drag lever and the QuickFire trigger for 1-handed casting.
