Description: This print measures 8 3/4 in. X 11 1/2 in. and is in very good vintage condition. It is not dated though I believe this is from the 1950s. The artist, Valerie Swenson, and her husband and print-maker, John Swenson, both pencil signed the silkscreen, and it is numbered 99/100 Valerie Swenson is an American Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1907.She wrote and illustrated many books about nature and also created many fine paintings and prints - woodblocks and silkscreens. Swenson, while born in Kansas City, MO, she worked in the Hudson Valley and lived in Shandhaken NY. Following her death I was able purchase a large assortment of her artwork.
