Description: This high quality "hero" replica was made as a manufacturers preproduction prootype for the Roddenberry "Legacy Series" line of collectible props. It is the only replica ever to be based directly off molds and measurements taken from the last surviving original series "hero" phaser owned by Greg Jein. The replica is assembled with similar parts to the original and functions exactly the same as the 1960's Star Trek "hero" studio filming prop. This replica is one of 3 prototypes created by the legendary Star Trek prop makers Michael Moore and Robert Mannion of HMS. The piece has fresh batteries and has been tested. Emitter extends when phaser 1 is mounted on phaser 2. Sight on phaser 1 raises with thumb wheel and lights up with emitter. Photos of the original "hero" phaser are also included.
