It was done circa 1985 for the production of the classic animated Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO series. It is a great production cel with an outstanding image, that has been hand-painted, multiple layers background, character as shown. There is animator production numbering 4900 that likely indicates the number in sequence for the production of the episode. The full piece measures approximately 12 1/2" by 10 1/2", and is a standard hand-painted 3-peghole cell. This is an outstanding rare vintage Star Wars piece, and a magnificent example to own featuring one of the most beloved and famous characters in the history of comic books, animation, and movies.
