The couple were found dead in an apparent murder suicide, at his hunting lodge, Mayerling, in 1889, however many believe that they were actually murdered. Both cabinet cards are 6.5" x 4.25". Rudolf's photo has light edge wear and a missing chip in the lower-left corner; Mary's photo is in good to very good antique condition, light edge wear. Boxed shipping
