I removed the 6 screws and countersunk washers holding the backer board a. These have been replaced with 18-8 stainless steel screws and washers 2. I removed the console lid backer board a. This has been replaced with a new, laser-cut backer board 3. I removed the 2 slotted screws holding the console lid to the hinge a. These have been replaced with 18-8 stainless steel round head slotted screws 4. I re-tapped the captive nuts (10-32) on the metal console base 5. All of the vinyl was removed a. All of the vinyl has been replaced with new, black leather b. Originality was meticulously followed with the lid shape, same number of seams, and attachment methods 6. I wire-brushed and sanded the entire metal console unit 7. I spray-painted the console unit with flat black enamel 8. The console lid looks original but has memory foam, black leather cover, and sewn-in black leather piping/welt. 9. The bottom/floor of the center console unit includes a removable piece of carpet. These look original, have better-than-original material & hardware, and will showcase your interior.
