Darling hand decorated nature inspired pattern is such a mid century classic complete in blue, aqua and green color palate with coordinating aqua blue rim! This treasure has stood the test of time and is ready to add glam to your retro kitchen! Glossy high glaze on stoneware ceramic for durability. Marcrest is actually a name brand not the name of the manufacturer. It is a Product line created by a retail chain called Marshall-Burns, a division of Technicolor, operated out of Chicago. Usually sold as supermarket premiums housewives from coast to coast could finally complete a dish set on the cheap! Marshall-Burns wanted to give off the image that the pottery lines were all from one company and required that all the potteries use the same marking system. Hence the Marcrest family was born. Platter is in good vintage condition! No chips or dings! The usual light pre-loved surface wear here and there and does have discoloration spots mostly to backside (usually from harsh dishwasher detergents) from years of adding flair to Ethel's tasty treats, but nothing that distracts from this dining history treasure!
