Sweet Skylark 1/8 Violin MY 010 Model with Bow & Hard Case

Description: Sweet Skylark 1/8 Violin is for sale complete with strings, fine tuners, a sound post, a bow, and hard travel case. It's a great fall 'back to school' purchase for beginners. The violin is the Skylark brand with the logo of a little song bird on the inside label and was made in the People's Republic of China (see photos). The "MY 010" model instrument has a pretty glossy ombre finish with black speckles. The ombre color graduation is a darker burnt sienna color around the bridge and a lighter raw sienna color towards the body's top & bottom. It has been recently polished and was gently used. There is some light to moderate wear, as is expected for an instrument of it's era. Most of the wear on the finish is near the tail and fine tuners as the pictures show. The bridge is a Cremona. This small violin is equipped with the standard four strings and four fine tuners, to make it easier for a small hand to tune the strings. A new wood chin rest has been added to the original violin. This little violin even has a sound post in place, as you can see (the wood dowel) through the f-stop, in the last photo. This is a feather light combination! The violin in the case with the bow - weighs only 3 pounds 5 ounces - very easy to carry! The violin is 17 inches long, 6 inches wide, and about 2.75 inches high - the perfect size for a small musician! The wood bow in the photos is included with the violin and case. It is 20.25 inches long and 1 inch wide. The bow has lost a few horse hairs but is in good working condition. The unbranded hard shell case will protect the violin on outings quite nicely. The outside has just a little light wear. The case handle is holding up well. On the inside, plush black fabric cushions the violin. All the case hinges and latches function and close securely. There is a pocket in the case for small accessories to travel with the violin. The case is about 22.5 inches long by 4 inches tall by 7.75 inches tall. This Skylark MY 010 violin is a wonderful investment for a little person who wants to learn to play violin. It is has been all set up and is ready to make music!
