Description: Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Syracuse Federal Shape Stansbury Set of Two (2) Imperfect Pieces. At the time this listing was written, multiple place setting pieces, extra pieces, and serving pieces were available in this pattern, so be sure and check out my many other lots! The following pieces are included in each set: 1 – Footed Tea Cup – 2.25” in height – The cup has two extremely small (less than 0.125”) chips on the base of the tea cup. The cup also has an approximate 1” long hairline/crazing crack beginning on the top rim and extending along the side of the cup. The crack can be seen from both the inside and outside of the cup. 1 – Rim Soup Bowl – 8.0” in diameter – The bowl has an approximate 2.5” hairline/crazing crack beginning on the top rim and extending along the side of the bowl. The crack can be seen from both the inside and outside of the bowl. The pieces in the set are marked with the following backstamp: “Stansbury, Federal Shape, Syracuse China, Made in America.” Some pieces in the set may have a slight variation in the backstamp, or may not include the pattern name of “Stansbury.” The pieces have a cream base with a pink/multi-color floral pattern, in addition to a gold rim and verge. The pattern has been discontinued with the years of manufacture between 1949 and 1970. Condition: Aside from the imperfections mentioned above, the pieces are in good condition but do show signs of light wear on the gold rim/verge and do have utensil markings and/or cleaning scratches. The scratches are not extremely deep and I do not feel that the condition of the pieces have been compromised significantly due to these imperfections; however, this light wear should be noted. The tea cup saucers were acquired as part of a much larger set with little history known; however, no major condition issues were noticed upon a thorough inspection.
