Tent accessory bag, cotton duck, model 1939? Red Army WW2 Reproduction

Description: Self made reproduction. UPGRADED PRODUCT; Now made with authentic Soviet era reinforced cotton thread imported from Russia. Reproduction Red Army tent accessory bag (nabor meshok). Based on photo of artifact from West Point Military Museum. Bag is made of green cotton canvas duck imported from Russia, and is approximately 11 cm x 40 cm. This bag was worn strapped under the model 1939 rucksack by the lower pack straps. Two versions of this bag are known, this example with a curved base and two strap loops which make sense for the two straps at the bottom of the bag to go through. The second version has a square end and no strap loops, and conforms to illustrations in the 1941 quartermasters manual. It is not confirmed whether the difference is purely down to manufacturers variations, or two different versions for separate packs were intentionally designed. These designations are purely my own speculation. This bag was not used in conjunction with the model 1936 pack, or the models 1930 and 1941 veshevoi meshoks. It held the tent equipment of 2 x wooden poles, 1 x wooden and 1 x metal peg, and a length of hemp rope. Reference pictures are shown from period sources. Drawstring is white cord.
