A First American Edition/Fouteenth Printing with "First Edition: October 2013" clearly stated on the copyright page and the number line ending with "14". Please remember this is NOT a First Edition/First Printing! Some would classify this copy as being a First Edition Thus, a Later Printing, an Early Printing and so on. Sadly, we have even seen some sellers advertising their copies as a First Edition/First Printing when they are clearly NOT a True First/First. We have chosen to go with the most specific classification possible which is why we simply refer to this copy as a First Edition/Fouteenth Printing. The Fourteenth Printing of the First American Edition. Once again, this is NOT the First Edition/First Printing of this title. This rare treasure has some very clearly visible wear, but is still in Highly Desirable, Highly Collectible condition! The wear, however, is considerable and should be carefully examined/considered BEFORE buying. The book appears gently read and has no foxing, no remainder marks, no missing pages and is NOT Ex-Libris or a BCE. The binding feels shaky/loose but is still holding tight. All of the pages are present, fully attached and still crisp and clean. Some general/shelf wear along with creases/scuffing/marks/wear to the spine/corners/cloth boards, particularly noticeable near/along the edges, and creases/marks/rips/wear to some of the pages, NOT affecting the text! Please note the wear that is present on some of the pages, particularly noticeable on certain pages! There is a small but very noticeable rip on page 249/250. The rip/wear is located near/along the bottom edge of the page and both sides of the page have been closely photographed for your consideration. There are some very noticeable marks on the first, blank page. The marks/page has been closely photographed for your consideration. All of the wear previously mentioned is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. The original dust jacket is fully intact and NOT price-clipped! Thankfully, no "Winner of the Pulitzer Prize" emblem/sticker on the front cover! Some general/shelf wear along with creases, scuffing, rips and marks. Please note the wear on the spine, at the corners and near/along the edges. In particular, please note the extensive scuffing! The wear is considerable and very noticeable! All of the wear previously mentioned, particularly near/along the edges and on the front cover/spine, is very clearly visible and should be carefully examined/considered. We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of this rare treasure.
