The album was originally released in 1973 and was the band's last album with original guitarist Eric Bell and the first with artwork by Jim Fitzpatrick. On this release, Thin Lizzy put everything they had into the music and took risks. It is passionate, energetic, and distinctive. To celebrate the album's golden anniversary, there is a deluxe set with rarities, radio sessions, unreleased music, rare photos, extensive liner notes by Mark Blake, and memorabilia and a hardbound book. The essential pieces of the deluxe set have been compiled in this beautiful collector's edition on 3 CD and blu-ray The classic album has been mixed in Dolby Atmos for the first time and includes the essential 'Whiskey In The Jar'. For the 50th anniversary reissue a 3CD+blu-ray box set delivers bonus tracks, rare radio sessions, live performances and 10 demos and outtakes. The blu-ray offers Vagabonds of the Western World mixed in Dolby Atmos (by Richard Whittaker) along with A-sides and B-sides from singles also in Dolby Atmos (including both single edit and the full length versions of Whiskey in the Jar).
