Description: These posters are original and from the little-known Roxy Theatre in Pensacola. Information online indicates that this all-black theater opened in 1938 and closed in the 1950s. Notice at the top of poster the reference to “colored”. The movies on the poster are from various years of the period, spanning from the late ‘30s and into the ‘40s. I’m sure they were just showing the movies they could obtain for showing, and not the latest releases. Some creasing and staining on them, but I’d say overall good shape.
