These two (2) $1 coins have been in circulation since 1990, at present these are worth face value- there are a number of websites and apps which will enable you to calculate the conversion of the current value of these 2 coins into other currencies. However, in 2023 the Royal Mint ceased minting any new coins which include the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the front face, the portrait of King Charles III has been appearing on all of the new coins which are used in New Zealand since May 3rd, 2023, therefore at some point the older coins which include the portrait of Queen Elizabeth on the front of them will begin to become valuable as collectors' items.
